It's systemic. Blame corporate policy, blame changing demographics, aging infrastructure, and oh yeah; crappy people.

Thankfully, it is dying. There are bastions of it in certain geographies on the US, but in large it's been dying quickly the last several years. You can thank the psychological community (healing minds from trauma and religious indoctrination) for these triumphs. It wasn't always this way though. The Trump cult turned stupid people into dangerously-stupid people.

That, along with human psychology and natural equilibriums. Technology advances and more people get left behind. You can create smart technology, but you can't raise human intelligence (generationally) fast enough to keep up with it. Eventually, these inevitable inequalities fuel turbulent monetary/legislative actions and the problem exponentially increases. The crime waves, the war in Ukraine, housing prices, claims of mass election fraud? None of these are coincidences... These problems will exponentially increase until a (reset) happens; like that of WW2 or the fall of the Roman Empire. Put your seatbelt on lol

Well, calling Social Security socialism is ignorant. You pay 6.2% with an employer match and those taxes get turned into t-bonds to collect interest. If Social Security required ALL people and all levels of wealth to pay in (but only the lower half of income could collect) - that would be a socialist program.

@dannyfrog There is no irony; it's stupidity in the comment section. Social Security is not a socialist program. If everybody paid into it AND (most importantly) only a certain income level could collect it; then it would be a socialist program. This has all been thru the courts and that's why it was able to be implemented as an investment; instead of a tax pool.

@MontyFly Well, SS isn't socialism regardless. People associate it with socialism out of misguided associations. Channels with a high viewership from the (Democratic socialist types) typically won't yield any actual economic literacy; so I wouldn't go looking for it. They're 20 year old boys that fantasize about socialism while living with their bourgeois parents.

Virtue signaling accomplishes nothing and no logical person would every say such a thing. Why? Because nobody of a higher intellect or moral status wants to live next to trash neighbors. Housing is all supply and demand; blindly blaming corporations because it's the (new counter culture) doesn't make anyone smart. Want to know why people can't afford housing anymore; blame the market and blame the government for some 50% inflation in the last 2.5 years. For anyone reading: go look at the USD Monetary Supply 0-4 before making any dumb comments contesting my claim btw.

Absolutely false, crime is rarely an act of desperation by a fully functioning civilian willing to work. It's an act of aggression by somebody who is most likely (clinically) anti-social.

Yes, but there's a lot of stupidity below. People calling social security a socialist program is the funniest thing I've ever heard; ignorance at it's finest.
