Well, it's not just about celebrating your roots. These epigenetic traits largely determine who we are, how we think, what we do. I am German and Slovakian by heritage. Punctuality, prestige, and perfection are deeply engrained behaviors in my family, as we primarily take after the German side. Being married to a woman that is essentially Irish/Welsh is hilarious. Her entirely demeanor is rooted in hustle, intuition, and fun leisure.

Let's be honest here, everybody KNOWS what the answer is, but they won't vote to deflate their assets in order to save the economy and country. Everybody for the last 50 years has done the same thing 'kick the can'. You either vote to kick the can or you vote to be first in line for the collapse. That's where a permanent inflation Keynesian economy gets you.

Laws aren't being enforced, if campaign finance laws and insider trading laws were enforced; some 80% of Congress would go to prison.

Segregation is almost always going to be a natural phenomenon. It isn't natural for people to want to immediately settle around people that don't resemble their complexion or trade. Ghettos have almost exclusively arose out of certain demographics leaving an area due to crime, poverty, or stagnation. People tend to focus on race, but if you change the terminology; you could find thousands of (age-related) ghettos around the world. Young people leave for work, educational reasons, or stagnation.

@StylichoFLavius Unfortunately no. We only know that my Great-great Grandmother's family came from an alleged border town in Slovakia near Czechoslovakia (at the time); the last name was Vassil. After that, they became intermarried with the German side of my family that we have state census records from (going back to 1780). My German side hailed from Russel County Kentucky and became Ohioans when my Grandfather's family moved there for economic opportunities post WW2.

@StylichoFLavius I have no other information about her; nor any info about my ancestors from the 18th century. We had a great-aunt (still living) that beautifully did all of this work for our family and it's been expanded on ever since. I even grew up most of my life thinking I came from my grandfather's lineage (dad's father). But he tells me only a few years ago that grandpa wasn't his dad lol So that completely changed my entire lineage (one that I have no blood ties to) and I still carry the last name *of Swedish/German origin. It's bothered me for some time that I have a last name with absolutely no blood ties. My dad took the name because my grandmother kept her marital name after divorce. At some point, the trail just goes cold for most people. I thought about doing Ancestry or 123, but they've been caught in a mess of lawsuits because apparently many of their DNA tests are faulty after an investigation found that triplets and twins were not blood related (using their testing kits). So it's hard to know who or which company to trust.
