You don't have to worry about AI destroying jobs; AI already destroyed the jobs last year.

I've been saying this for years. Virtually all tech companies are overvalued; probably by 80% or more. The next big financial shift (IMO) will see a massive transfer or wealth out of companies like Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Apple, etc. and into companies that can produce a tech product that is tangible to investors. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already, but I think investors are getting screwed by false expectations.

Yeah, certainly messed up my game of bingo this week.

@MidWitPride What I don't understand is that this is supposedly all from open AI right? Is the material patented? If not, then why hasn't this entire thing fallen apart years ago? Other companies should be coming out with this technology left and right. Are they just really good at convincing investors that their tech is special? lol

Well, we're pretty much on time; considering the rate cuts in September. I'd say it won't last past March 18th.

@ggoddkkiller1342 Well, the entire idea is that US markets are gate-keeping hard with this technology; that is otherwise inexpensive and widely available for developers to take advantage of. It's like traveling to an island to sell natives a pack of pencils. When your rivals try to dock and set up a shop of colored sharpies; you close the docks. Maintaining the illusion that the pencil is the newest technology. Not very far fetched considering that the US has been larger at war with Chinese tech development since October 2022.

Considering that a FED rate cut (after prolonged interest hikes) typically yields a recession in a 6 month time period. I'd say we're right on course lol

Personally, I can't wait for Google and Microsoft to implode. Both are probably overvalued by some 80-90%. The day Youtube gets fried will be Christmas for me.

Well, they did say that nerds would take over the world.

The writing was on the wall in the early 2000s. These institutions are businesses; not schools. They speculate on industries and lobby for vague general educations of the most obsolete modelling. All to sell you degrees with no prospects.

@noticiasinmundicias The bubble hasn't burst. When it does, tech companies will lose 80% of their value; one would hope.

Well, men are doomed in particular. Most men will not have the restraint to avoid this type of technology. Creating your own woman, creating your own porn, exactly to your specs? It'll be irresistible! And it's already happened unfortunately. Lazy guys will pay for an AI Onlyfans account and smart guys will design their own.
