  6. Monty buggered of this - his Operation - the same guy who couldn't cross the channel for 4 full years. XXX CORP made only 7 miles the 1st day then didn't start until 10:00 am the next day then stopped when Gerry blew up the Bridge at Zon. They were 24 hrs behind schedule by day 3 and nowhere around Nijmegen. Ya Empire but at least now Big Brother was there to hold the crown's clown hand so things were going to be alright after all - when Monty got out of the way :face-blue-smiling:

But if you need a refresher here was where we found you British forces were being "strategically evacuated" from 1940 Norway,Netherlands, Belgium and France,Dunkirk 1941 Greece, Crete,Hong Kong and Libya 1942 Tobruk and Dieppe,Singapore The USA gave Monty 4 yrs to cross a crummy channel so the GIs sailed 3500 miles of ocean so Monty could tag along the last 30 across a channel
