Yes but had not Stalin bled the Reich - rather the the common foot soldier things would have been different.What if they and the USA were not pulled into the war.Had Hitler just circled the lands they lost in WW1 and just grabbed them.There was little the Crown could do about it.They may have even unleashed all of that on the UK

@patolt1628 you're guilty of the very thing you accuse americans of - ignorance.A country of over 300 million people has many different opinions.Any one familiar with history is aware of the French contributions in the American Revolution. You yourself paint with a wide brush,stop popping off ,you read every bad remark and ignore all the honest/accurate discourse. Americans left Europe because of Aristocratic Fuedal System.Britain's WW1 blockade starving 3/4 million Germans and France/Britain's signing the Treaty of Versailles greased the skids for WWII. A document that the The Government of the USA rejected out of hand. Germany teetered on poverty,famine and anarchy after the WAR.France and Britain were the age old belligerants and powers on the continent and sticking Germany for the bill and taking German lands guaranteed there would eventually be another fight

@rob5944 if you contend that the British army was too small to affect the outcome then the British Gov't shouldn't have declared war. As they were driven just like the French and the rest.Many Frenchmen were taking bullets as Brooke and Monty were taking to the boats,just saying

Bull - then wait to declare war because the promise to Poland worked so well,right?Again if you say you're too small then don't start a fight you are not prepared to finish.Which ended up well - in hindsight because of the USSR/USA entry into the fray. But no one exactly knew that at the time
