Agreed largely, but I would not call English a Mickey Mouse subject. What does physics have to do with what people need, think, feel and behave?

@apollomemories7399 Ultimately yes, I'm sure science can explain everything. But it does that in a much less immediate and emotional way. It can be very dehumanising. In my experience, people who teach science to brighter people tend to have a problem.

@goldenthunder1166 The thing about novels, and poetry, is emphasis. Somebody who looks at the world, more deeply and differently, is telling us what they most want to say.
