  1. It's sort of insanely pro-white racist in a way. To depict middle class, English children, at that time, as black means that it's black people's fault for everything. It must have been them who were sexist, homophobic, bigoted and snobby about the working classes. It must also have been black people who persecuted Indians, Nigerians and all of the other BAME colonies.
