@gunther_hermann - That is probably my favorite story out of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Only one part was left out: the U.S. Navy did not know the sub was carrying nuclear weapons and they were dropping depth charges that only were about the size of a simple hand grenade in order to signal the Russian sub to surface. They weren't actually attacking it in order to destroy or sink it, but under the Soviet rules of engagement a strike could have been authorized even if the smallest of weaponry was used.

@GaslitWorld f. Melissa B - I disagree. If any word can be used to describe Kim, it's "paranoid." He might not particularly care about his people, but he cares about his own lifestyle of luxury and the continuity of the family dynasty. Starting nuclear wars really puts a damper on things.
