  1. It's a shame they didn't just surrender earlier. It's not like the U.S. wanted to actually destroy their country, take their land and make them into Americans. As soon as the war was over, they were rebuilt, designed a democratic government and the countries became two of the closest allies on Earth. Ironically, fast forward to 2020 and the U.S. is selling them the most advanced fighter planes in the world and trying to get them to buy more lol.
