  1. "Non-sectarian governance" in Syria? This is why the UN is irrelevant. The best hope for Syria is either self-segregated autonomy between various groups or outright sovereignty as independent states. Where on Earth has this worked? Europe, the US and most of the world is in the midst of chaos due to attempts at integrating races, ethnicities and political adversaries together under one government.
