@looinrims - Doesn't seem to be a need for a public outcry in the U.S. since we "win" (that's a subjective term, of course) and China blocks YouTube, so the CCP won't be able to tell their subjects that they'd "lose." It is very important to remember that the People's Liberation Army is technically the army of the communist party, not the whole of the population of China. The goal is to preserve the party structure and regime – NOT protect civilians or otherwise mitigate damage.

It's worth keeping in mind that, in the event of a conflict with the U.S., India would likely open up a western front to reclaim its territory, and potentially even liberate Tibet. China, in the wildest of one's imagination, could not fight a two-front war against two large, modern, nuclear-armed opponents who would doubtlessly be sharing gigs of electronic intel every second.
