  1.  @Regis1995  - While the "France surrenders" jokes are just outdated and stupid, I wouldn't put it past Germany to weasel its way out of helping. France, on the other hand, would probably perform admirably and bravely. They have an excellent arms industry, great tech and do not want to see the EU structure fall.

  2.  @michaelchristensen6884  - My old town still tests the siren every day at 12 noon. Everyone calls it the twelve o'clock whistle. Although ours was designed to call firefighters to an emergency or to ring in a certain pattern to warn of separate disasters. I don't remember the whole list anymore.

  3. It is stunning, by the way, that Europe fields not ONE strategic bomber. The lack of resources spent on defense is a disgrace, and good on Trump for calling them out on it for years. The U.S. is essentially funding their welfare state and healthcare because they do not have to pull their own military weight.
