Germany's refusal to fund its own defense is a disgrace.

@Idahoguy10157 Just ask Canadians how they felt after the Arrow was canceled, and the talent pool and institutional knowledge of building combat aircraft disappeared. Sadly, the A220 saga has the chance to screw up their civilian aerospace industry.

@Predator42ID I don't know about tanks, but aircraft are commonly stored in the U.S. "boneyards." When the pandemic hit and the airlines panicked, tons of countries around the world were leasing space in the U.S. southwest desert areas. I believe Australia has a similar setup in their desert region.

Don't see how it's a potshot. It just acknowledged Oryx's numbers are going to be low due to their requirement of photo evidence.

Well, kinda. Its primary fuel is JP-8 (jet fuel/kerosene) but it can also run on diesel, petrol or marine diesel. Running diesel will give it a performance hit, and JP-8 also has a lot more in the way of additives and cleaning agents.

@jakic91 LoL. They barely have any PGMs left, and their "PGMs" seem to specialize in attacking schools, hospitals and apartment buildings. Russia is a terrorist state, pure and simple. And honestly, from THIS citizen of a NATO member state – I'm HAPPY to be part of the conflict! Defeat authoritarianism wherever it is on Earth! I'm doing my part and traveling to Ukraine this spring to assist as much as I can.

@TzunSu I didn't say "random," I said "lucky." The F-117 was shot down via a lucky shot after a SAM operator momentarily caught the bomb bay doors open (and the pilot did not deviate attack vectors as instructed). It wasn't random, however. Since then, where have stealth aircraft operated in a contested environment? Neither the F-22 nor F-35 have ever operated contested, much less against a peer adversary. These are undoubtedly the most advanced planes in the world, but nothing is invincible. They may rack up in excess of a 25:1 kill ratio, but the "1" does represent a loss. We can't get hooked on the idea that everything will go perfectly and without casualties in every conflict.

@nehronghamil4352 People expect too much out of military kit. A lucky/close shot can still take down a stealth aircraft, enough bombardment can overload an air defense system, etc.

@TzunSu Which is exactly what I said.

@jasonthewatchmansson8873 Ehh, I think you're taking it too literally. The people who watch this channel probably know what Oryx is, and as for more casual viewers, I doubt most people would even pay attention to a detail so small. Plus, English is not his native language, so I'd cut a little slack for that too.

@vepraksoldat2963 Ruskies take old ladies' washing machines and vacuum cleaners as trophies, not tanks. Actually, they seem to leave tanks behind pretty often.

@vepraksoldat2963 Have you volunteered to go to the front yet, vatnik?
