  1. Same here. I know it would make no sense for the U.S. to buy it since we have the C-130 (smaller) and C-17 (larger) but it's an absolute beauty! So versatile, too. I could see this being used as a gunship, AEW aircraft, maybe even maritime patrol.

  3.  @chrislohphotography  Yeah, there was something like this that happened in New Orleans in the USA too. A commercial jetliner landed in a small dirt airfield because of some engine malfunction. They were able to fix it and then just fly it out with no passengers and minimum fuel. Planes like the A400M are designed for this kind of thing, though. Another reason why turboprop is a better choice.
