  1. I was randomly selected by CBP for an enhanced customs screening at Shannon airport (where they have a US CBP pre-boarding clearance center). He outright said it was random and he just asked me to come to a room. I made a little joke about Locked Up Abroad and he said, 'Yup, this is where'd they'd take you!" He just looked in the bag and I was on my way in about 30 seconds. This was before all of the current programs. I have Global Entry and Pre-Check (automatic with GE) now and I've never experienced any "codes" or enhanced security.
