  1.  @JonMartinYXD  Can it be shelved, though? The plane is being developed by NASA and it will be owned by the U.S. government. Aurora and UT are the contractors building it. It seems NASA would be the ones to determine if it's shelved or not.

  2. They're not receiving secret government funding. The government is building this plane on its own, as funded in the national budget, and chose two contractors. Boeing, at some point during the process, purchased one of the contractors. The taxpayers aren't giving Boeing money to develop a new plane.
