What are they supposed to do? There's no second amendment in Russia.

"That's a very provocative question..." is my favorite common answer.

@sjbock In the Russian Army? I believe it's a requirement. They issue you a rifle and a case of vodka upon deployment.

Ditto for the USA. Nobody wants to invade and occupy Russia. Nobody, period. (Not to be confused with Tasty Period.)

Because life is cheap in dictatorships. There isn't much to be excited about in the present or the future. You're not free to pursue dreams, speak your mind, have an impact. You're a cog in a machine and they will never let you in the control room. And people wonder why we Americans don't like government mandates – it has to start somewhere.

@JustinaZenOnDVD The problem with climate change is that the left has co-opted it into a political dagger they use to raise taxes and force a social agenda onto others. If solutions were actually attuned to improving the environment and tackling the problem – not shoving leftist politics down the throats of the rest of us – reforms would have more support. The very fact that world leaders took policy cues from an autistic teenager ranting into a microphone is stunningly scary.
