  1. Well, the individual people probably had no idea there were leopards there before moving for a better job/life. They were sold a house like anyone else. I doubt they put "encroachment into leopard territory" in the advertising pitch.

  4. The individual people who move into these places are far worse off than anyone of Cherokee descent in the USA. They are being put in danger, so being "on the leopards' side" means getting innocent people killed – at least until a solution is found and implemented.
