I would have liked to see some reporting into what, exactly, an IPP is and how one gets a 99-year hold based on a minor domestic incident. Unless there is something here we do not know about? Vice, in recent years, has often told us half the story if the "bad" half doesn't fit their politics, but this doesn't seem to be politicized, at least on the surface, and the reporting is more fair in the UK than their US stories. But why weren't any attorneys, prosecutors, others interviewed? Those of us who do not deal with UK criminal law on a daily basis have no context in which to judge this case.

@h_uskyy2191 The guy he punched, his father, was in the video and feels horrible that he ever called the cops because he had no idea it would come to this. You gotta actually watch the report lol.

@San-yh4zi In the U.S. it varies quite a bit state-to-state and even sometimes counties within a state, depending on what political party is in charge and what party the state prosecutor comes from. It's a shame it is so politicized.
