  2. Funny how in the United States, the people put a stop to this quickly, the judicial system worked as a check on the legislature, individual rights were protected, and despite the childish derision from Europeans and others, the healthcare system is not the least bit overwhelmed here.

  4. Those quarantine centers are going to be easy to convert into concentration camps for protesters, dissidents or (here's the scary part) de-populated Taiwanese men if they invade. Truthfully, I can't help but think this entire dystopian nightmare is what a good number of the more extremist American politicians would have been okay with at certain points – at the very least, a sizable minority of the Democratic party.
