The strategy would be interesting to see. Do you retreat from the DMZ in order to make way for bombing runs against the artillery units and risk tipping off NK you're about to launch a large strike? Or do you start with a shock-and-awe campaign and send in special mission units to attempt to eliminate the guns on the border pointed at Seoul during the chaos?

I think there is a legitimate question as to whether the AF would even deploy. In Iraq in 2003, even Saddam Hussein overruled his own generals and forbid them from launching combat aircraft, knowing it would be worthless.

@dylan bowes - SAS would most likely work with SEALs, SBS, Delta, and possibly a number of USMC units etc. to infiltrate and take control of sensitive equipment, such as A) the TELs B) nuclear sites and C) artillery units along the DMZ. Those are the only offensive platforms that would be difficult to eliminate in airstrikes. That "converted" Ohio-class sub he mentioned in the video is "converted" to deploy special mission units into enemy territory. I suspect that is why he included it.

That could be true, but you would have to evacuate friendlies out from the DMZ beforehand. That could tip off the North Koreans, unless this was so perfectly timed that there would be no opportunity for them to react and debate why troop movements were taking place.

Yeah, I assume before hostilities began, someone would be smart enough to do some clandestine underground mapping and confirm the presence of tunnels. Collapsing them is something that could literally be completed in a matter of minutes.

I doubt that one. For one thing, the US and SK would be risking a future conflict with China if they ever decided to invade the south. And the refugee crisis would be gigantic. The North Koreans would be flooding into SK and the region would depopulate itself. China, especially since they're dealing with HK at the moment, would not want to risk making it seem as if people do not want to live under their rule and would come down like an iron fist, potentially stoking another conflict altogether. If China was a free and democratic member of the world community, it might be perfect – maybe something like a protectorate, for example. But being "not AS bad as Kim Jong Un" isn't exactly something to write home about.
