  1. Those canards are what they are. It will never be as stealthy as an F-22 or F-35, but it's competitive. This really isn't the aircraft that would be used to deliver a strike package on an airbase in the beginning of a war, however. The J-20 is really an interceptor at heart, almost a modern MiG-25. Its purpose is to try to pick off unprotected enemy AWACS, tankers and command posts.
