  2. Boston is not representative of the United States. The "capital" of New England the only safe walkable city in the whole country. Riddle me this, would you rather take the subway in Philadelphia or any city in Russia that has a subway? What is the price for safety?

  3. Bristol guy looking at New Jersey as we speak. Respectfully, those two cities are not remotely the same. Boston is about a third the size. Boston and NYC (maybe Philly) are the only safe walkable cities in this country. Most US cities were hardly ever walkable (Dallas, San Diego) and other walkable cities (St Louis, Cleveland, Memphis San Fran) are no longer safe to walk. I can go to Kadakoy, a neighborhood in Istanbul and walk safely at 3am and still purchase liquor., how is that for freedom.  @EconLessons
