One of the bigger flaws of democracy: the morality of the majority usually ends up being forced upon the minority because the "moral majority" abuse elections to get their subjective morality canonized in law. Maybe democracy needs a constitution that prevents moral arguments from influencing legislation? Maybe democratic elections should only be concerned with pragmatic affairs?
