Mainland China is the kind or country that has a 99.6 % conviction rate in all it's trials. Basically the only court anyone can look forward to is a kangaroo court that has decided that you're guilty on beforehand. I understand why people in Hong Kong would oppose any bill that would permit extradition to mainland China.

@miyuki: Yes, the chinese government and courts are nothing but barbaric communists, holding the chinese people hostage. There's not really any fundamental differences between China and North Korea. The cage that the chinese people live in just happen to be a bit more gilded than the cage the North Korean people live in.
