  1. I realize why North Koreans are fleeing. What I have a hard time to fathom however is why there are no resistance movements. Yes, the government has soldiers. But the population surely outnumber Kim's treasonous troops. And given the paranoid levels of control that the Kim family tries to exert on it's population, the soldiers have to move among people on a daily basis. All it takes is starting to trick lone soldiers into separating from their units and then ambush them with 4-5 masked men. Kill the soldier, take his weapon, hide the body and repeat the process. You don't need advanced weapons for this. It can be done with nothing but sharp sticks and rocks. Guerilla warfare is certainly possible in North Korea, and every North Korean has to agree that dying while fighting back must surely be better than living under Kim's disgusting regime or subjecting your family to the risk of execution by escaping, right?
