After reading comments from ex-employees it's pretty evident that management is the problem, and not the employees. Stephen, you need to stop being a micromanaging perfectionist and trust your employees more. The work hours become insane because you demand too many edits, changes or end up scrapping work that people have already invested a lot of time in to complete already. And remember: as employees they do not get paid as much as you. They do not share a stake in your company. So expecting them to work insane work hours while you're the one raking in all the profits is a bit much.
