Not even men want to be in the office! We just go because if we don't, we'll be out of a home, a car, gaming PC's and food on the table. Would be pretty sweet to just be a stay-at-home dad actually. All you need to worry about is the cooking, cleaning and taking care of the kids.

@MDE_never_dies Yep. Give me the option of not having to be successful and I'll skip work for the rest of my life, and only wear comfy sweatpants and a bathrobe for the rest of my days basically. Incidentally, this is my plan if I were to somehow end up being filthy rich and wouldn't need to worry about work anymore. I'm just gonna kiss social conventions goodbye, doing and saying whatever I feel like.

@kazapeach9487 Well I currently live on my own, so I have to do all my cooking and cleaning as it is. I don't find it that hard. The hard part is juggling all of that with work at the same time. If I was somehow relieved of work, then the daily cooking and cleaning would be a breeze by comparison really, even if I had to cook and clean for another person as well as myself.

@kazapeach9487 Sure thing. Children will ramp up the difficulty level. But at the same time, your own children are about the most worthy investment and challenge to accept in life. And I do have a good track record with seeing worthy challenges and investments through in other areas.

@kazapeach9487 Just to be clear, i'm not downplaying the hardships of raising children here. But I think that it's important to maintain some confidence in the face of it. Part of the problem in the west is that many people, deep down, second guess their parental abilities. They don't really believe they have what it takes, so they never try.

@robertbeisert3315 I probably won't be. But fortunately my girlfriend will. She works remotely and want to have kids. So the idea is that she'll keep working remotely so she can be a homemaker at the same time.

I'm not sure one can argue that it's a duty to have children if one also doesn't take steps to ensure some more equality in terms of dating. For the attractive and successful men, it's easy as hell to pick and choose a woman to have kids with. But women become increasingly choosy and don't seem to mind dating a man who is dating multiple women at the same time, leaving the more average to less attractive men in the dirt.
