@NotQuiteFirst Matt Easton who runs the channel Scholagladiatoria. He had a few collabs with Shad in the past that were amicable and friendly. But then some leftiest started telling Matt that Shad have "problematic views", and Matt took the road of a coward and didn't even speak to Shad about it but just posted on facebook that he disavows Shad completely and cut all associations with him.

@emanwe01 I don't think conservatives should be forgiving towards people of demonstrably bad character.

@PostProteusKitten It's like, he could've told Shad about this directly or at least hear him out. Agree to disagree as an adult person would do or try to persuade Shad to see things from his point of view. But instead he skipped interacting with Shad entirely and went on to do a performative post to appease angry lefties. It's so vile and transparent and telling of his exceedingly bad character. Heck, he could've just stayed quiet entirely and gone about with his regular content while not doing more collabs with Shad in the future and wait for the relatively minor outrage to die down. It would've been a bit cowardly too, but at least it would've been more classy. And that's why I am openly critical of his actions. It's not the fact that he "dumped" Shad. But how he went about it and what it says about him as a person. Matt showed the world that he's just a disloyal snake and such behaviour warrants public roasting.

I kinda hope Matt will get a roast from the Lotuseaters because of it.

Yep. Whenever i'm in the vicinity of male strangers, I pathologically size them up, check for threatening behaviours or body language and sub-consciously think of a plan to take them out if they were to become aggressive. It's like a reflex to me.

@PostProteusKitten Eh, I see a lot of "slow news days" for The Lotuseaters from time to time, where the subject matter of some videos feel kind of convoluted, forced and irrelevant. So doing some gossip on Matt's actions could probably warrant a slot. I mean didn't they upload videos about that guy who bought a new car to his influencer girlfriend for having done her first interracial porn video? That stuff hardly seems newsworthy to anyone besides internet gossip mongerers imo.

@clangerbasher That's kind of a dumb statement though While it is statistically true that women who do face violence will most likely face it in the home with a man they know, there's also another statistic to consider: the statistical likelyhood of men being violent towards the women they know (which is pretty damn small compared to the broad masses of men living with a female spouse or girlfriend)

@12Gauge223 i'm not going to uplift men with emotional incontinence. Men need to go back to stoicism. A virtue which has largely been forsaken in modern times and only served to make men weak. As a man, you don't need to be excused or told that "it's okay to show your emotions" all the damn time. What you need is to develop discipline and control over how your emotions are made manifest, and you also need to embrace male activities like banter and competition for what it is, instead of running around feeling insulted or "hurt" by it. It is by developing these qualities that you grow as a man. Not by sitting around in a therapeutic circle jerk talking about your feelings all the time.

It's like, whenever I see Lead on the periodic table, or when I hear the word "plumbing", I think of the Roman empire due to the linguistic and hydrological associations alone.

@livedandletdie They do have a tendency to pick up objects and throw them at people if angered enough. Rarely considering what kins of damage the thrown object might do.

@ANPC-pi9vu What i'm saying is that unless you're on board with stereotyping certain ethnic minorities due to the fact that a small group of them are demonstrably prone to violence, it's equally disingenous to do it to men as an entire group.

The roman emperors who were cross dressers were also known for being stark raving mad

All trains of thought lead to Rome 😏
