  1. The Euromaidan was not a "civic uprising". It was a revolution. Yakunovich was still a democratically elected leader at the time. Whether the voters or his opposition liked his decision to go with a more pro-russian policy or not, if you just start an uprising because of it, then you can't deny that you revolted a democratically elected leader.

  4. Leo seriously needs to actually look into what he dismiss as the "Putin propaganda machine". Read about the Azov Battalion. The Ukranian Insurgency Army. The Right Sector. While you can make the argument that Putin has been making rash decisions and been overly aggressive, this conflict has not sprung from a vacuum. The problem is that you won't find any msm coverage of what's been going on in Donbass for the past 8 years. And you won't find any english articles about what happened in Odessa during the Euromaidan. It's not simply a matter of "Ukraine just wants to join the west". There's more to it than that.
