I was forced to sit through Schindlers List in class back in the day. There was never any talk about making it more "palatable" back then. What bugged me was the fact that history class was so singularly devoted to the holocaust, while the rest of world history was glossed over. I'm not a holocaust denier, but you kind of get where they're coming from when they're talking about the indoctrination of school children sometimes, because there's a disproportionate amount of focus on the holocaust. Yet the holodomor was never even mentioned.

@thuglifebear5256 Yes, I always found that curious too. In my opinion, one can't properly understand the rise of the nazi party, nor WWII in general without the context of WWI and it's aftermath. Without learning something about WWI, the nazis seem like some sort of evil boogeyman that just sprung out if thin air to terrorize Europe. In reality, the seeds of the rise of Nationalsocialism in Germany were planted during WWI, and it's downright irresponsible to not mention it during any history class... Or the omission of such a mention is ideologically motivated.
