Remember: if Beto is actually elected and use his powers to confiscate firearms, the constitution has basically given the american people the constitutional right to shoot the bastard because he's then becoming a de facto tyrant. It also gives you the right to gun down any cops trying to take your guns. Although I suspect that the vast majority of american police officers will refuse to carry out any orders in confiscating firearms.

@deadheart556 I never said you can rely on cops. The difference between your examples and actual confiscation of firearms bottles down to the fact that you don't have a constitutional right to not get pulled over and having your car searched. And because they're usually looking for drugs and not guns while doing it. (and once again: you have no constitutional right to possess or use illegal substances) But I'll tell you this: I won't hold it against you if you mow any cops down who try to confiscate your firearms. That's just self defense against tyranny in my book.
