  1. I'm not surprised. Glass is a very hard material, but brittle so it can't take any flex. But since these are solid glass balls (spheres being one of the most structurally sound geometric shapes), it requires massive amounts of energy to cause the entire structure to flex and shatter. It's almost like shooting at solid rock, truth be told.
