@drfroglegs Yes, but capacitors dump their charge nearly instantly. They have to be filled up by something. If your capacitors drain the battery in oniy 1-2 shots it's not much of a portable weapon.

@justsomemincedgarlic Graphene batteries? Like nano batteries? I read something about that before. A classic voltaic cell is normally composed of a layer of iron, a paper soaked in an electrolytic fluid, and then another layer of copper on top. Stack multiple of these layers on top of eachother and you get a bigger charge. But the interesting thing about it apparently is that the thickness of the individual layers doesn't matter very much. So you could have layers be only a few atoms in thickness and the whole apparatus still works. If every layer is only a few atoms thick, you could stack thousands of layers on top of eachother and it wouldn't take up much space, while still being sble to hold a really big charge.
