  2. I find it ironic that the development of armour up until today haa actually gone BACKWARDS. Yes, soft kevlar vests and SAPI plates do stop high powered bullets. The latter kind even stops armour piercing rifle cartridges from penetration. But at the same time: modern body armour doesn't take balance into consideration, nor does it place the weight onto your waist like medieval armours did. You bear most of the weight of modern body armour on your shoulders. Tactical vests and plate carriers have a waist strap, sure. But this strap alone is not enough to transfer the full weight onto your waist so most of it end up on your shoulders. And you can definitely feel it after awhile.

  3.  @neutronalchemist3241  It's not a myth in this context or in general. Because shades of blue derived from Woad are much darker than what you see in Raf's brigandine.
