  5. DynamicWorlds: Possibly. My point is that for ninja to do what they do invariably required a pragmatic mindset and methodology. Samurai code had arbitrary and artificial codes of conduct which they had to abide by in politics and war, which is why the need for ninja agents arose in the first place (to circumvent such norms and codes of conduct on behalf of their masters and get tangible results). Therefore I find it unlikely that tasks and specialities were relegated among ninja organisations based on gender alone. It's more likely that they were relegated based on skillsets and proficiency. For instance, if they happened to have a female at hand who beat the crap out of every male agent in the organisation, then it would be a waste of resources not to use her for operations were violence was required.

  6. aullik: I'd replace the FBI with the CIA. FBI is basically just a glorified police force with federal jurisdiction. Criminal detectives. And they don't really handle foreign, military threats but deal with domestic crime like tax fraud, political corruption, drug trafficking and the like. They don't really have combat training either aside from regular pistol shooting courses. The CIA is a military intelligence gathering organisation. They're the ones who send out spies, agents and even special forces to conduct sabotage, ferment rebellions and even assassinations some times.
