Steve K Jr: Or the airforce. Small dudes are at an advantage in Armor and Airforce. The government are cheap bastards and don't wanna pay for jet fighters designed to accomodate for people like myself who are 186 cm tall. Plus, g-forces affect bigger people a lot more than they affect small framed people.

Matthew Dejesus: Not being able to lift/carry as much has nothing to do with your height. I've got a comrade in arms who is at least 2,5 heads shorter than me, yet he has no problem carrying the same weight of equipment as I do.

lucasathus: boxing is a different story to soldiering. In boxing, the taller you are, generally you'll also have longer arms. Which gives you better reach and you're able to throw punches at your opponent when they aren't physically able to hit you back.

SethMacMillan: 8 slices of pizza is a lot? In my country, people tend to eat one full pizza by themselves. :P I was also "gifted" with fast metabolism. I can sit around for weeks, eating and playing video games for hours each day without gaining any weight at all. The sad thing is though: if I wanted to bulk up, I'd have a harder time than most, since I would be required to eat so much food that I'd be close to vomiting from it. :/

Lyanna: Fighting in mordern warfare actually relies even more on physical strength than warfare during ancient times did. Part of fighting as infantry in modern warfare entails carrying a lot more equipment than ancient romans had to carry. Roman legions were accompanied by logistic trains of wagons carrying all the camping equipment they needed. Something that modern infantry can't always rely on as they need to carry their personal survival equipment, food, water, ammunition, communications equipment, tools, hostile weather gear, sleeping equipment etc.
