Ok, so Spartacus Blood and Sand deviated a lot from historical accuracy and even combat sense sometimes but hear me out: one cool thing they did when shooting some fight scenes in the arena I remember was as if they had a camera INSIDE the gladiators helmets to show the actors faces. I had never seen something like it before in a setting focusing on ancient or medieval culture and I found it to be a really cool touch. So if you have to show the actors face while wearing a combat helmet, then do something like that rather than this mess with half visors. For pittance sake! :S

@maximederak Symmetry does play a part in the realms of human attraction and sexuality though. And not just for humans. It's sort of a running theme with many animals as well. More symmetry seems to be viewed as more attractive.

@TheLevrion Dude, both ancient greece and rome had rampant homosexuality going on. In Rome, it was not considered feminine or submissive so long as you were the pitcher rather than the catcher if you catch my drift. So if your argument is that romans were strictly heterosexual and opposed homosexuality then you need to do some more reading. Not sure what this has to do with cameras inside of helmets though.

@wespozo Yes, rampant. You know all those beloved greek philosophers like Plato and Aristotle that modern academics like to fawn over? Did you know that their view of "casual entertainment" involved having young slave boys sent in after a light meal for some sexual molestation? That's the "enlightened greeks" for ya. And rome pretty much copied all of greek culture.
