  2. Bamboo is not a terrible material for armour when you think about it. Living and growing bamboo is easily cut, but dried and treated bamboo can be very stiff and strong. Might not stop an axe, but could definitely stop a sword cut. Might even be able to deflect an arrow. Naturally it's not as reliable as steel would be. But I'd rather wear bamboo armour for a fight than wearing no armour at all.
