  1. My issue with race swapping is that the reasoning behind it is so glaringly transparent. They woke brigade treats the fiction as a turf war. Their reasons for race swapping characters are not honest and has nothing to do with artistic merit. They are literally acting like a dog who runs up to urinate on a fire hydrant located in another dog's turf. It's an act of racial humiliation and domination purposefully made to anger people. Let's say they cast a black Ariel in the 90's for example. At worst people may have found it a bit odd, but the extreme political subtext of post 2015 just wasn't there to the same degree so most people would have just shrugged and not paid it much attention. But now you have a big faction of lefties talking about how they want to erase white people from existence, then it justifiably becomes a bigger issue.
