Hmm, how is it seen as feminine to have facial hair removed? Weren't romans pretty famous for their grooming habits of shaving their faces so as not to look like bearded "barbarians"?

@honeycomblord9384 Valid point. But on the other hand, in the history of mankind, the fashion choices of country rulers often differed from the general population too. It's like thst situation today where a lot of dictators keep or wear a very distinct and unique hairstyle, beard, moustache or eyeglasses.

I hope they weren't trying to use him as an example of how "tolerant" the roman empire was towards gender divergent individuals... considering how he and his mother were killed, beheaded, mutilated and thrown into the sewers that is.
