  1. ​ @StetoGuy But socialists have never really tried to elevate the proletariat which they claim to represent. They've only sought to elevate themselves (the party or revolutionary leaders) at the expense of literally everyone else. Regardless of which socialist regime you go to, the labourers/workers/proles never enjoy increased rights or freedoms as opposed to the same class in capitalist societies. In fact they usually suffer under less rights and freedoms than their capitalist counterparts.

  2. It's almost as if authoritarianism and totalitarianism knows no borders between the political aisle. Neither rightwing nor leftwing ideology are guarantors against totalitarianism or authoritarianism.

  3. ​​ @FairHairMaidenofTheWest Ironically, even the slave owners utilized a black perspective. They didn't go to Africa to capture slaves. They BOUGHT slaves from black africans. The custom of capturing and selling slaves in this period was a BLACK custom. The white slave owners capitalized on it. Which is of course also ethically wrong. But the modern so called "black perspective" never adress or even acknowledge black african complicity in the slave trade, making it inherently dishonest. If we applied the same arguments to something like drug trafficking, it would be the same as placing all blame and all responsibility of drug buyers, while claiming that people who manufacture and sell drugs are completely innocent. Which is of course a ludicrous position.
