I don't think the american right is coming from a perspective of trying to propagandize education. Some probably do, because there's always a few in every camp doing it. But the general attitude I get from them is that they want to put a stop to the excessive and divisive propaganda coming from the left through the education system. I don't think kids need to be told from day one how irreconcilably different they are due to the colour of their skin and portraying some students as oppressors and other students as oppressed. If the U.S is ever going to move forward, this divisive rhetoric has to stop. A white kid doesn't need to be told that he's morally and historically different from a black kid and vice versa, since this narrative only serve to reinforce and perpetuate racial division. Let kids be kids without the historical baggage of past conflicts and transgressions.

Black people did benefit from slavery. Being brought to the americas, albeit by force, has made their descendants some of the wealthiest black people in the world. Surpassing the average wealth levels of pretty much all African countries. What hurt black people as a group in America the most was the civil rights movement.
