  2. Sean Kennedy: He didn't lose Africa because he couldn't follow orders. And you may note that some orders he ignored regarded the treatment of prisoners of war and other "undesireables". He was a brilliant tactician, and in the end he chose suicide rather than let his family risk being disgraced and executed. A great soldier who simply had the misfortune of fighting for a morally corrupt side. But as any soldier knows: it's not their place to question elected officials. Their job is to be loyal to the state and supply violence wherever the state wills it in times of war.
