  1. In what way did the U.S "lose" the war in Vietnam? Take a look at the objectives that U.S troops had initially and how many of them were achieved. Were any of the significant objectives unsuccessful? It's kind of a misleading notion that the U.S "lost" the war kn Vietnam.

  2. TOFKAS01: I don't think you understand the question. The U.S war effort in Vietnam was divided up into particular mission objectives (not ambigous objectives like "win the war", but objectives like "take and hold city x or fortification y"). Last time I checked, pretty much all mission objectives in Vietnam were achieved by U.S forces. So calling the effort a "defeat" isn't very accurate.
