Pro tip: There's a difference between hate and banter. Not every remark that may sound insulting is a result of hatred. Only if you're extremely overly sensitive would you think that. Danes in general are pretty good natured and thick skinned people. They don't run around feeling "hated" because of the wisecracks and jokes that other scandinavians and Finns make about them or their language. They shrug and banter right back. Banter is something you do with people you like, not with people you hate.

Maja: Did you not watch the video? Danish has been reformed into a uniform language, getting rid of all regional dialects and languages, and it happened fairly recently in history. CLEARLY Danish is not the oldest language of them all, since both Norway and Sweden still have regional dialects and words. If anything, Danish is the youngest language of them all. That said, it's kind of silly to compare age since way back when, Danes, Swedes and Norwegians practically all spoke the same language (but with a huge variety of regional dialects) as most Old Norse people's did. Our "oldest" language is probably Icelandic since it's the closest to the original Old Norse tounge out of all the scandinavian languages. (I don't count finnish as scandinavian, because finns aren't scandinavians at all)

Icelandic is basically what most scandinavians spoke back during the iron age. People in what would become Sweden spoke something similar. So it's like talking to someone from the iron age. As to finnish, Finns aren't scandinavians to begin with so their language is completely alien to Scandinavians.

Arabic sounds like the noise you'd hear from someone sucking on camel dick.

LionMe: Do they even have spoken language up north? It's so primitive in those regions I half expect everyone to just use grunts and snarls as language. :P

Danish is more suitable for people with paralyzed tounges or throat cancer. Swedish is more suitable for people with normal tounge dexterity and good health. :P

@VArsovski10 : Yep. The Finns and the Spaniards sure do like to roll their R's.

The wierd thing is though, German is a very accentuated and sharply pronounced language. Sure it can be hard to follow what's being said since german as a language is basically composed of building blocks which you can combine in an infinite amount of combinations to form words that are entirely grammatically correct. But the use of consonants is very sharp and crisp. Danish is supposedly influenced by german, yet the language itself sounds very "slurred".
