I'd rather have films INSPIRED by Star Wars and Jurassic Park, who may wear their inspiration on their sleeve, but still being their own stories than having remakes or "soft reboots" of Star Wars and Jurassic Park. Western culture simply can't evolve and move forwards if every cultural project just ends yp being a re-hash of an older one..

@MHMKid Indeed. And there's older examples of this too. Like the 80's show Knight Rider with David Hasselhoff. It came out first. But then a few years later, Airwolf was made. Clearly some inspiration from Knight Rider since rather than the hero being partnered with a high tech car, the hero was in possession of a high tech helicopter. But Airwolf was still distinctly it's own thing, and much better in my opinon.
