  1. Kywayne Ellis How about the fact that most anime completely lack anything resembling an adult storyline? And by "adult" I don't mean sex/porn, I mean a storyline with central themes that only mature adults will be able to understand and process. Most anime is only regurgitated superhero fiction, with typical "battle between good and evil" crap. No different than Marvel or DC comic book shit. The inclusion of violence doesn't make a piece of fiction for adults. if that was the case, then every single teen slasher flick would be considered the most culturally mature films ever made. But they're not. It's just cheap thrills for a mostly teenaged audience.

  2. Why isn't mutated Tetsuo from Akira on this list? It's pretty much the only scene in Anime fiction that truly creeped me out and I've watched a lot of regular horror anime.
