  1. The problem in Japan is that people are too accepting of commercializing social interaction in ways that other cultures wouldn't dream of. In which other countries do you "rent" friends, grandparents, a girlfriends/boyfriends, womens laps to rest your head on and so on? It's way past common prostitution at this point.
