Even if those orders means doing awful things, the contract of the serviceman stipulates that his commanding officer is the one responsible for what soldiers under his command do under orders. It does so because every military in the world acknowledge that the chain of command will break down and render any military force ineffective if soldiers are constantly expected ro second guess orders they are issued against some outside legal or moral code of conduct. This is why I even respect soldiers of the wehrmacht who fought for nazi germany. Soldiers don't get to choose their orders. And they don't get to choose their supreme commander when they are obligated to serve for a certain period of time. If you have a problem with the actions of soldiers under orders and what they do under orders, never should you direct your criticism or complaint to the soldier, but to his commanding officer, and if that officer acts under order from any of his superiors, them it is with those superiors tje criticism or complaints belong.
